Embroidery Circle in Aguacatenango
MEXICO |
2020
Whilst visiting one of the Red Dress artisan’s Zenaida Aguilar, an impromptu embroidery circle was organized by Zenaida with some of her own students; local women form around the area who come together regularly to learn embroidery.
One of the artisans, Vanessa Aguilar Juarez wore the Red Dress, and said she “…felt like a Queen, and connected to all the other women around the world who had worked on the dress..”
