Beaded embroidery workshop
Inspired by the striking beaded embroidery on The Red Dress created by FanSina, a Bedouin social enterprise in the heart of the Sinai desert, the class will be guided to create a vibrant sampler of motifs with cotton and beads.

World textile Day: Stitches from around the world workshop
Alongside the exhibition of The Red Dress, Kirstie will be offering an embroidery workshop to create a sampler of beautiful stitches and motifs from around the world; including beaded Beduoin stars from Egypt, Otomi fill-stitch form Mexico and Lambani border motifs form India.

Kirstie Macleod, creator of The Red Dress project (2009–2023), shares the 14-year journey of a garment that connected 380 individuals worldwide. Discover the inspiration, stories, and stitches that shaped this living artwork, along with the challenges and triumphs of its global exhibitions. This is a story of creativity, empathy, and human connection.
