SECTION OF DRESS: Delicate vine
Dreamy stitching around the bodice.
Janice first met Kirstie as a student of the Foundation Course at the Royal School of Needlework, where Kirstie was a visiting tutor. A skilled embroiderer who is able to stitch with the fluidity of a pen, she created a charming little blue bird on the bottom back right of the bodice.
Impressed by her skill Kirstie invited Janice to create another piece on the dress a year later. This time Janice stitched a delicate vine in pinks, turquoise blues and greens that gently wraps it’s way around the whole of the bodice peppered with little clusters of red beads.
