SALLY RANDLE
AUSTRALIA / 2022SECTION OF DRESS: A snail
Slow stitching
I was thrilled to be able to stitch on the Red Dress when Kirstie brought it along to the RSN at Hampton Court Palace recently. I am from Brisbane, Australia however I am temporarily resident in the U.K. while I am studying at the Royal School of Needlework to become an Embroidery Tutor. I am in the final stage of the Future Tutors course and soon I will be moving back to Australia to teach embroidery.
I had been aware that part of the Red Dress had previously travelled to Brisbane and had been embroidered by the stitchers in the All Threads shop in Brisbane. At that time I was not available to add to your project, so when I heard that there would be an opportunity to participate in this global activity at the RSN I was really happy to be involved. I have added a little snail as a memory of the slow stitching I have completed at the RSN.
Thank you for allowing me to be involved.
